Fire Alarms

Most buildings need a fire alarm system to ensure the protection of life and property, in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and the Fire Risk Assessment. They are the most reliable and safest way of notifying all employees, staff or residents (HMOS) of a fire situation.

When a new, or modified fire detection system has been identified, the design of the system should comply with the relevant British Standards. Evolution Fire & Safety Ltd  is BAFE accredited for the design of fire detection & alarm systems to SP 203 and BS 5839 Pt 1 & 6.

There  are various types of Fire Alarm Systems to suit all buildings, British Standards states the category required for a precise risk. Which will be determined by your Fire Risk Assessment which will specify the category of system required to meet your risk. Which may be from a manual M system to a fully automatic L1 system.

Whether a brand new project or upgrading an existing system, a survey will be carried out to establish your exact needs. We will discuss your requirement, budget and once we are fully aware of your situation, we can provide a design to meet your needs and requirements and to comply with the recommendations of BS 5839. This could be:

Conventional, Analogue Addressable or Wireless type fire alarm systems as well as, high sensitivity aspirating detection systems.

Once the new system design has been agreed, we will arrange a suitable time for our accredited engineers to install the system. We will supply you with a method statement and risk assessment enabling you to understand the work to be undertaken. Our installation manager will oversee the project and be on hand to answer any queries you may have during the installation through to final commissioning and handover, including end user training.
